A Current Need

Asking for prayer. We just received the billing for the visa costs on this side of the pond. While we were still in the states, many of you followed along with the Adventures of Chaz in DC while he picked up our Visas. That cost us $500 for the visas themselves and then sundry costs to retrieve them from DC.

On this side of the pond there was an added hitch that the DC agent entered a significant typo. We both applied for multiple entry visas. Chaz received that and I received a single entry. This means I would not be allowed to re-enter if I had to leave. Not a good scenario. It took a month, literally a month, to get this straightened out and ridiculously the agent on this end just wrote over the stamp. Seriously? I could have done that!

Any way that month of work required a lawyer as well as the paperwork on the front end so there was something for Chaz to pick up back in March.

The cost of the lawyer would have been about $200, but the additional month of chasing the bureaucratic tail added almost $600. Our bill came in at $745. UBean (especially in it's current position) cannot afford to cover this cost. Our fundraising only came to half the projected need and so we are incapable of paying it.

Here's the prayer request: Father please provide for this pressing need and all our other needs. You assured us as we stepped out in faith that you would provide all we need. We are asking you now, please Father send manna.
