We're going back!
Guess what?!? Mongolia called and we’re going back next year!! Can you believe it? I know, right? We are so excited!
So here’s the scoop! The field bookkeeper is going home for her year of home assignment and they asked me (Jean) to come and fill in. Chas will help in the coffee shop and possibly in the ESL classes. We will be there for 15 months from approximately April 2017-July 2018. We'll need our expenses covered before we go. We will be taking a course this summer to obtain certification in teaching ESL, costing approximately $5500. We will be purchasing plane tickets at about $4000-$5000 and having to pay for our living expenses there. All told, it will be about $25,000 for this endeavor.
While we are there we hope to find out / figure out how and if God wants us there longer than that. Maybe find employment, maybe hired on the team, maybe something we haven't even considered yet. Right now we are in heavy prayer mode waiting to hear how God wants to provide financially for these 15 months. Will you join us in praying? It's all pretty exciting and heavy on our minds.
Our sons won’t be coming with us. Both of them feel God is directing them on a different path than the one to Mongolia that he has us on. Leaving them here will be the hardest thing either of us has ever had to do. We covet your prayers for all four of our hearts over this as well. Please pray that God will provide spiritually, emotionally, and practically for our sons. We have seen him do that for our oldest son by bringing our lovely daughter Emmy into the family and giving Shawn the family and livelihood he had been praying for for so long. I trust that God is in the process of setting their feet on the path he intends and I pray for the courage and wisdom to support them as they do.
